CEFTI POWDER

INGREDIENTS:

Each powder vial contain:
Ceftiofur sodium……………………..5g

TARGET SPECIES: Cow, sheep, horse, goat, dog, cat and poultry.

INDICATIONS:
– Treatment of acute bacterial respiratory disease in which Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida or Histophilus somni sensitive to ceftiofur are involved.
– Treatment of acute interdigital necrobacillosis (foul in the foot) in which Fusobacterium necrophorum and Bacteroides melaninogenicus are involved.

DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES
This product is for intramuscular use only. Normal aseptic injection technique should be practiced.

Reconstitution:
5 g vial: reconsitute by adding 100 ml of water for injection.
Directions for Reconstitution:
1. Remove stopper overseal from diluent and sterile powder vials.

2. Remove exactly 100 ml water for Injections using a sterile needle and syringe.

3. Inject the exact volume of diluent into sterile powder vial.

4. Shake solution until complete reconstitution of powder occurs. Rapid addition of diluent maintained at room temperature will give best results. Normally accepted aseptic technique should be followed during reconstitution to avoid microbial contamination.

The resulting solution contains 50 mg of ceftiofur per ml.

Dosage in cows, goats, sheeps, horse, dog, cat and poultry:
– Cows, goats, sheeps: 1 mg/kg body weight/day or 2 ml/100 kg body weight.

– Dogs, cats: 2 mg/kg body weight/day or 0.4 ml/10kg body weight.

– Poultry: 5 mg/kg body weight/day or 1 ml/10 kg body weight.

– Horse: 2 mg/kg body weight/day or 4 ml/100 kg body weight.

WITHDRAWAL PERIODS

For meat: 04 days; For milk: 0 hour.

SPECIAL STORAGE CONDITIONS
Keep the containers in the outer carton in order to protect from light.

Store unreconstituted product (powder and diluent) in arefrigerator (2°C to 8°C).
