INJECTABLE SUSPENSION

Ingredient: each 1 ml contain

Ceftiofur HCl ………………………………………………..100 mg

Excipients q.s ………………………………………………1 ml

Spectrum of activity:

Ceftiofur is a third generation cephalosporin which is active against many gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria including b-lactamase producing strain, beta-lactams act by interfering with synthesis of the bacterial cell wall

Indication:

• Treatment of bacteria sensitive to ceftiofur
• For the treatment of bacterial respiratory disease associated with mannheimia , haemolytica , pasteurella multocida and histophilus sommi.
• For treatment of acute interdigital necrobacillosis ( panaritium , foot root ) ,associated with fusobacterium necrophorum and bacteroides melaninogenicus
• Acute mastitis

Contraindication:

Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to ceftiofur or other beta lactam antibiotics.

Dosage:

Intramuscular (I.M) injection or subcutaneous s/c.

The general dosage: 1 ml per 50 Kg body weight per day for 3-5 days.

Withdrawal times:

Meat: 8 days

Milk:  0  days

Storage condition:

Store in a cool and dry place, away from sunlight below 30 c
